Outcome commitment: Comfortable with proofs (the part that panics most students), fluent in geometric reasoning, and ready for the trig-heavy back half of high-school math.
Two-column proofs are usually the wall. We teach them as reasoning problems (‘what would need to be true for this to work?’) rather than fill-in-the-blank rituals. That switch is often the semester's biggest single unlock.
