New: A Two-Session Mini-Course

Use AI without losing your brain.

A coached, evidence-based framework for students and adults who use AI to learn — and want to stop it from wrecking their test scores or interview outcomes.

2 x 60-min sessions + written personal protocol + free 4-week follow-up.

You're not going to ban ChatGPT. Nobody is.

The question isn't whether to use AI. It's when. Because the evidence is now clear: using AI at the wrong phase of learning quietly destroys the outcomes that count.

The Four Phases of Learning

The core framework you'll leave the mini-course with. AI helps in some phases and destroys others — and knowing which is which changes everything.

01
First Encounter
See a new concept for the first time.
AI: LIGHT OK
02
Initial Struggle
Attempt it. Get stuck. Keep going.
AI: OFF
03
Solve
Produce an answer. Explain it.
AI: OFF
04
Review
Check, verify, learn from mistakes.
AI: ON

Most learners collapse Phase 1 into Phase 4 and skip Phase 2 and 3 entirely. That's the AI trap.

Who this is for

You're a parent

Your student's homework grades are strong. Test scores are slipping. You don't want to ban ChatGPT (that's unrealistic) but you don't know what "using it well" actually looks like. You want a framework your student will actually follow — not a lecture.

What's included

Two coached sessions, one written protocol, one follow-up check-in. Everything you need to actually change how you (or your student) use AI.

Session 1 — Diagnose & Decide (60 min)

  • Walk through your (or your student's) current AI habits, honestly.
  • Learn the 4-Phases-of-Learning framework and see the evidence behind it.
  • Draft the first version of a personal rule set for AI use, tailored to your subject or job.
  • Leave with a homework log to run for 48 hours before Session 2.

Session 2 — Rehearse & Ratify (60 min)

  • Review the 48-hour log together. Where did the rules hold? Where did they slip?
  • Live-practice the rules on real problems from your course or work.
  • Refine the rule set based on real-world testing.
  • (For families) A short parent + student conversation so both parties own the protocol.

Deliverables you keep

  • A written 2–3 page Personal AI-Use Protocol emailed within 24 hours of Session 2.
  • The Four Phases of Learning reference sheet.
  • A free 15-minute follow-up call 4 weeks after Session 2 to check what stuck.

What people say

“My daughter argued with me about ChatGPT for six months. Two sessions with a coach and she drafted the rules herself. She actually follows them because they're hers. Game-changer for our house.”

Sarah B. — parent of an Algebra 2 student

“I'd gotten through six months of bootcamp with ChatGPT as my co-pilot. I could describe every algorithm but I couldn't code them. This mini-course was the reset I needed before interviews. Passed my next one.”

Ravi P. — former analyst, now junior data engineer

Frequently asked questions

Is two sessions really enough?

The framework is short. Applying it to your specific work with a coach watching is what makes it stick. That's what the two sessions are for — not lecturing, but coached practice with real-time correction. Books and articles can't do that.

My student won't follow rules I set. Will they follow rules from you?

Rules the student helps draft get followed roughly 3× more often than rules a parent imposes. Session 2 is structured to include the student in the rule-setting so they own it. For adult learners, the same principle applies — the rules have to feel like the learner's own to survive real-world friction.

What if we're not a fit?

100% refund within 48 hours of Session 1 for any reason. If the mini-course isn't right, we'll tell you honestly — sometimes what a learner needs is subject tutoring first and this mini-course later.

Can this be combined with subject tutoring?

Yes, and it often is. If you're already in one of our packages, we'll offer this mini-course at a $50 discount as an add-on. If you start with the mini-course and want to continue with weekly coaching, we roll the $249 forward toward the first month.

What age range is this appropriate for?

Grades 7 and up for students. Adults of any age. Below age 12 the meta-thinking required is generally too advanced — we'd recommend a subject-tutoring package with a parent conversation about study habits instead.

How do we start?

Send a note through the contact form mentioning the AI Study Skills Mini-Course. We'll reply within one business day to schedule Session 1.

Ready to change how you (or your student) use AI?

Two sessions. A written protocol. Real change. $249 flat, refundable if it isn't right.
